Wow it has been to long since I have last posted, I apologize, I have been EXTREMELY busy lately. I have summer camp starting the 22nd of this month and ending the 29th. In my spare time(if I have any), I will try to write down some things and post them when I get back!

More ways to find your book!

Ok in the last post I discussed one way to find a good book. In this post I will try to explain at least one more. One of the many ways I have found books is by one of the most simple ways, ask a friend and/or a librarian what they like! For instance, I found Without Remorse and more books by Tom Clancy just by asking my bro what he liked. The same goes for James Patterson, I asked one of my best friends what book he recommended and I ended up getting hooked on the Maximum Ride series. Something else you might want to try is going to the library, and (lets say you want an adventure novel) look for a book with an interesting title in that section. Although people say don't judge a book by it's cover, you might get lucky and find a book that you love. Thats all for tonight, and as I said earlier I appologize for not posting a lot lately, and for cutting short most of my latest posts, now that it is summer I should be able to post more often and longer. There will be however, a week where i have summer camp and will not have access to a computer. Good night everyone!

Lately

I am sorry that I did not blog earlier but I have been busy all day! Now, one way to find out if a book is good for you is to go into your local library (or if you have relatives that practically have a library of their own) and look for a book that (depending on how much time you have to read, how good of a memory you have etc.) is a smaller chapter book to start of with. You can try reading the inside of the dust jacket, or just start reading the book. If the book does not interest you after about 30-50 pages or so than try a different book. If you would rather try something a bit quicker, then go to a computer, and look up a subject that you like. Maybe you have heard of a good author, and you want to be the judge for yourself, try looking up the author! I am sorry that I have to cut this post short but I am tired, have a big day ahead of me tommorow, and need to try to get some rest! I will talk more on this subject in the coming posts.

Fanfiction

I FINALLY got the slideshow to work, please comment on what you think about it! Now to my promise from yesterday, I will explain (for those who do not know) what fanfiction is and why I recommend it. Fanfiction is where people (the fans) write their own version of something that has happened, or what they think should or shouldn't have happened, or what is to come, in their favorite book, movie, anime/manga, T.V. show, comic, etc. There are multiple places where fanfiction can be found, one of which i posted yesterday. I frequently visit that site, love it, and read regular books all the while! I would definitely recommend reading fanfiction for everyone from the people who read only because they have to, to even the most seasoned readers. The next time that you are sitting at your house or library with nothing to do, try hopping over to the nearest computer with internet acess and check it out! In some of the coming posts I will go over ways to find out what book is right for you, and more. By the way if you need any help with anything to do with books etc. just ask and i would be glad to help, if there are any tips for things that you think could help my blog become better, then please tell me!
